Job Description - We are looking for a long-term substitute social worker or guidance counselor to join our counseling department beginning on or about November 16, 2026 through approximately May 3, 2027.
* We are looking for highly qualified and experienced candidates with the following assets:
Qualifications - Valid New York State Social Work or School Guidance Counselor Certification
- Collaborate with other school and community professionals
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with families
- Provide counseling when appropriate
- Provide staff with information to better understand factors affecting student's behaviors, and performance
- Expert knowledge in research-based instructional strategies for students with social/emotional needs
- Active member of the crisis intervention team/TIG
- Participate in and provide professional development based on therapeutic crisis intervention (TCI)
- Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Pupil Personnel
