• Assists, supports, and works closely with teachers, administrators, and other team members in providing educational support for special education classrooms.
• Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of materials or skills initially introduced and outlined by licensed staff.
• Assists the teacher in special strategies for reinforcing learning materials and skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities.
• Monitors work, supervises curriculum-based testing and makeup work, as assigned by the staff.
• Assists in classroom and instructional duties as assigned by the teacher.
• Summer school work and planning includes, but is not limited to, the summer schedule which is:
• Please note, the summer schedule is a bit unorthodox due to the 4th of July.
• Summer school will run from July 1st-July 25th. Teacher days will be 8:00am-12:00pm
• Week 1 - Monday, July 1st-Friday, July 3rd (3 day week)
• Week 2 - Monday, July 8th-Friday, July 12th (5 day week)
• Week 3 - Monday, July 15th-Thursday, July 18th
• Week 4 - Monday, July 22nd-Thursday, July 25th
