• Currituck County Schools is seeking reliable and dedicated substitute teachers to join our team.
• As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, following lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, and managing classroom behavior.
• This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' academic experiences.
• Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher and ensure all students are engaged in classroom activities.
• Maintain classroom discipline and a safe learning environment.
• Provide students with appropriate feedback and support.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including attendance and reporting student progress.
• Communicate with the school staff and administration regarding any issues or concerns.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree or Higher (Preferred, but not Required)
• Previous Teaching or Childcare Experience is a Plus
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to pass a background check.
