Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange has two openings for a dynamic and dedicated educator to serve in the Religious Studies Department. This is a long-term substitute position for various dates beginning October 1, 2026 - February 15, 2027.

Qualified candidates will be able to:
- Support a student-centered atmosphere
- Plan and execute lessons that are data-driven, incorporate research-based methodologies, and are designed to engage and support all learners
- Design learning experiences for students that place value on innovation, inquiry, and creativity
- Offer collaborative and individual learning opportunities that support student growth
- Incorporate educational technology into the classroom in an authentic manner to enhance the learning experience
- Actively collaborate with fellow teachers to design lessons, analyze data, and write common assessments
- Be supportive of the mission and philosophy of a Catholic school

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field

Either a Master's degree in Theology/Pastoral Theology from a Catholic institution or a Master Catechist certification preferred

High school teaching experience preferred

Be a practicing Roman Catholic

Daily Rate: $200
