Wareham High School is looking for a passionate and innovative moderate disabilities special education teacher to join our team. This position will entail responsibilities for day-to-day management of the assigned classes and provision of instruction.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing opportunities for individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
- Encouraging students to set and maintain high standards of classroom behavior and achievement, which includes working with support staff when needed.
- Collaboration with related service providers.
- Creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students' needs.
- Employing a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media
- Writing and implementing student IEPs.
- Attending IEP meetings.
- Tracking progress and quarterly reports in regards to IEP goals and achievement.
- The supervision of classroom staff.
- Ongoing parental contact.
