The Bresnahan School is a grade PK-3 elementary school located in Newburyport, Massachusetts. We are looking for an energetic and experienced substitute special educator to join our teaching team.

Collaborative Problem-Solver:
Collaborative problem-solver who is able to form positive relationships with students, staff and parents. Experience implementing IEPs, 504 plans, and building-based accommodations preferred.
Experience with assessment, data analysis, progress monitoring and using data to inform instruction preferred. Experience with PBIS or trauma sensitive practices is a plus.

Knowledge Required:
Currency in the curriculum, including knowledge of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Effective planning and assessment of curriculum and instruction for students with language-based learning disabilities.
Effective classroom management
Effective instruction in a standards-based classroom.
Promotion of high standards and expectations for student proficiency.
Promotion of equity and appreciation of diversity.
Effective integration of technology across the curriculum.
