Job Title: - Special Education Teaching Assistant - High Needs - 2026-2027

Summary: - Primary responsibility is providing assistance to students receiving special education services in an inclusion classroom. As directed by the principal and classroom teacher, the teaching assistant will also: work with individual or small groups of students in an instructional capacity, supervise students during other activities such as lunch, and assist in completing necessary paperwork.

Qualifications: - Applicants must meet the requirements for a Title I Paraprofessional, including:

- Must have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent and
- Must have met one of the following options:

• Completed two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 credit hours);
• Obtained an associate’s (or higher) degree;
• Have passed the Parapro Assessment through ETS.

Proof of Highly Qualified Certification: - Must be attached to your application to be considered for this position.

Salary: - Range for 2026-2027 is $19.57 to $30.14 per hour plus full benefits package.

Workday: - Full time/10 month (183 days) position, 7 hours per day
