Job Summary

Paraprofessionals have an important role in the success of students requiring additional support in the classroom. Paraprofessionals respond to student need, including but not limited due implementing classroom norms, reteaching and proctoring small group testing.

Paraprofessionals should be able to follow the direction of the classroom teacher or special education teacher and demonstrate flexibility in response to schedule changes due to student need. Aides are not expected to complete IACS-related work beyond their contracted hours. Aides are supervised by the Student Services Director.

School Hours and Location

IACS school hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00-3:00pm. Wednesday school hours are 8:00-1:00pm. The school is situated in Tyngsboro, MA (near the intersection of Routes 3 and 495), drawing a diverse student body from neighboring districts, including Lowell, Dracut, and Chelmsford, as well as Tyngsboro.
