About the Employer

Job Title: School Nurse (2300) -
Qualifications:
* Hold a current Alabama license for Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), or Practical Nursing (LPN).
* Clinical nursing experience with school-age children in the hospital, community health, or pediatric clinic desired.
* Clinical nursing skills necessary to provide safe care to students with special health care needs.
* Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with administration, nursing supervisor, faculty, parents, and students.
* Ability to demonstrate complete, accurate, and timely documentation of health services rendered.
* Possess current CPR certification.
* Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

Reports To:
* Principal
* Student Services Coordinator
* Nurse Supervisor

Job Goal:
Provision of school health services to students and serve as a liaison between the school, the medical community, and other agencies involved in the health and welfare of students.

Terms Of Employment:
* Nine-month contract (187 days).
