Total compensation $4,000. • Experience with the VEX V5 robotics system and VexCode V5, including robot design, mechanical systems, pneumatics, and C++ programming (a plus but not required).
• Ability to teach CAD (Computer-Aided Design) for 3D modeling with OnShape or Tinkercad (a plus but not required).
• Be able to manage and facilitate a classroom of ~30 enthusiastic students.
• Prepare students for robotics competitions by developing match strategy, driver skills, and judging interview readiness with design journals.
• Manage robotics program logistics including schedules, equipment inventory, and competition preparation.
• Help head coach with organization and implementation of tournament and travel logistics.
• Foster a learning environment for competitors by helping them coach each other on game strategy and communication.
• Requirements:
• Experience with VEX V5 hardware and software.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to students.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Strong communication with parents.
• Preferred:
• Prior coaching or mentoring in robotics competitions.
• Knowledge of CAD, sensors, and mechanical/electrical prototyping.
