Roles and Responsibilities
We are seeking an Assistant Principal who is passionate about fostering positive school culture and supporting student success. The ideal candidate will:
Lead efforts to promote respect, responsibility, kindness, and engagement within the school community.
Implement restorative practices and PBIS to support student behavior and social-emotional growth.
Work closely with students, families, and staff to resolve conflicts and address behavior challenges through a trauma-informed lens.
Meaningfully connect with students ages (3-18), building strong relationships that support their development.
Help plan and implement school-wide activities and celebrations that foster community and engagement.
Communicate effectively to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
Qualifications
Must have current Vermont Administrator License with the Agency of Education.
Physical Requirements
Work environment is in a mixed environment, with moderate noise, temperatures that are controlled, and no exposure to chemicals or other negative air quality elements.
The work is light/moderate work, requiring exertion of up to 30 pounds of force to move or lift objects.
