Job Description:
The accompanist will provide support to the choral instructional program with specific responsibilities for providing accompaniment for rehearsals and performances.
Under the general direction of the choir teacher, the applicant provides support that encourages successful participation in the choir program at Mcloughlin High School and Central Middle School.
Responsibilities:
* Provide accompaniment for rehearsals and performances
* Rehearse a minimum of one time a week with each choir (5 hours/week, flexible schedule)
* Attend rehearsal the day before or day of concerts
* Perform at each concert
* Travel occasionally for performances/competitions
Minimum Qualifications:
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must be able to perform the functions of piano playing and reading music.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
* Ability to have a flexible schedule near performance dates.
* High school diploma required.
Expectations:
* Rehearse with each choir at least once a week (5 hours/week, flexible schedule)
* Attend rehearsal the day before or day of concerts
* Perform at each concert
* Travel occasionally for performances/competitions
Compensation:
* Minimum salary: $3,667.00 to $4,619.00 (depending on experience)
