Responsibilities

• Provide physical education instruction to early childhood, elementary, and middle school students.
• Ensures safety of students by providing active supervision.
• Builds strong relationships based on mutual respect across dimensions of difference with students, families, and all stakeholders.
• Provides appropriate, research-based scaffolds and differentiates instruction.
• Develops and uses an effective classroom culture plan.
• Collects and analyzes data, and uses it to drive decisions.
• Prepares and implements daily lessons aligned to the curriculum.
• Provides high-quality and consistent input in the language of instruction per the Dual Language Model.

Minimum Qualifications

• Physical Education grades K-12 license to teach in Missouri or other state or ability to teach physical education in the country in which the teacher received their training.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Literacy, Language, or a closely related field.

Nice-to-Haves

• Skills and qualities that are a plus but not necessarily a requirement:
• Teaching experience in PreK-8 setting
• Solid understanding of academic and behavioral strategies for students with various needs

• Annual salary: $50,000 - $70,440 (based on highest postsecondary degree and years of experience).
