Job Title: Adaptive Physical Education Teacher - District Wide -

Qualifications:
* Licensed in Massachusetts as a teacher of physical education
* Master's degree preferred
* Previous successful teaching experience
* Experience with adaptive physical education and/or working with students with special needs
* Outstanding preparation and/or experience may be substituted for some of the above qualifications -

General Responsibilities:
* Instruct effectively in the program of physical education and adapt lessons for students with special needs.
* Understand the importance of providing access for all students to physical education and related activities.
* Possess an understanding of the special education eligibility process and procedures, particularly as they relate to adaptive physical education.
* Possess the ability to be flexible, imaginative, and creative in order to provide interesting and meaningful opportunities for students. -

Salary:
* $60,253 - $113,226 pro-rated
* Based on training and experience according to the current salary schedule as negotiated by Unit A of the Methuen Education Association. -
