Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated school social worker to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs. The social worker will collaborate with students, families, teachers, and school professionals to promote student well-being and academic success.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group counseling and social-emotional support.
• Assess students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Support students with IEP goals and participate in IEP meetings.
• Develop and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide resources and guidance to families when appropriate.
• Support a safe, inclusive, and positive school environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
• Valid New York State School Social Worker certification/License.
• Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
