Job Description

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Hartford, CT on a part-time basis for the school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver daily lesson plans Provide individualized assistance to students Regularly communicate about student progress as needed Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success Maintain accurate attendance and session reports

Working Conditions

Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

Position Details

Position entails a 25-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 8:00-1:00pm.

Qualifications

B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution CT State teaching license Comfortable working with K-12 students Strong organizational skills Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs Reliable transportation
