• Participate in bi-weekly staff meetings
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not necessary

Teaching Assistants - Middle School

The Birches Academy of Academics & Art, a STEM-integrated charter school in Salem, NH, is seeking a Teaching Assistant to assist a Lead Teacher for the 26-27 school year.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in the implementation of a rigorous core academic program
• Assist the Lead Teacher to integrate STEM into the core curriculum/Middle School Math
• Instruct and facilitate student learning
• Foster critical thinking in students
• Provide emotionally and developmentally appropriate experiences for students
• Adjust instruction to engage/challenge learners, encourage independent learning & to develop a lifelong love of learning in students
• Assist in the supervision of student lunch and recess periods
• Work as a professional member of a grade-level teaching team
• Assist the Lead Teacher in meeting individual needs of each student
