Position Overview

Howland Local Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the position of 7th grade girls basketball coach.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching fundamental basketball skills, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship, supervising student-athletes, maintaining required attendance and participation records, and supporting the philosophy and expectations of the Howland Girls Basketball Program and Athletic Department.

Qualifications and Attributes

Applicants should demonstrate:
* Knowledge of basketball fundamentals, rules, and age-appropriate instruction.
* Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* The ability to develop positive relationships with student-athletes, families, coaches, staff, and administrators.
* Integrity, dependability, good judgment, and high moral character.
* A commitment to student development, academic achievement, sportsmanship, safety, and teamwork.
* A willingness to collaborate with the varsity coaching staff and support the entire Howland Girls Basketball Program.

Required Certifications and Compliance

The selected candidate must obtain and maintain all required district and state credentials, including:
* Ohio Pupil Activity Permit
* CPR and First Aid Certification
* Fundamentals of Coaching
* Concussion in Sports Training
* Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training
* Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Training
* PBIS and Fraud Reporting and Prevention Training
* Current BCI and FBI Background Checks
* District-required Drug Testing and Employment Screening

Salary

Per negotiated agreement.
