Job Title: English Language Arts Middle School
Position to Start: August 2026

Responsibilities:
- Teach middle school English language arts in alignment with district curriculum and Connecticut core standards.
- Design and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons that promote reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary development, speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, emotional, and learning needs of diverse learners.
- Foster a positive, respectful, equitable, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, collaboration, and academic growth.
- Integrate instructional technology and research-based literacy practices to enhance student learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues, special education staff, interventionists, administrators, and families to support student success.

Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut certification or equivalent New York certification with eligibility to obtain Connecticut certification through reciprocity.
- Strong knowledge of middle school English language arts curriculum, adolescent literacy, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Salary: Per NEA Collective Bargaining Agreement
