Job Title: Educational Assistant - Ahern Middle School - Job Description: Two (2) Educational Assistants needed for the Step Program. - The Educational Assistant in the Step Program supports students with moderate to severe disabilities in a substantially separate, highly structured learning environment. - Under the direction of Special Education Teachers and Related Service Providers, the Educational Assistant helps implement Individualized Education Programs and provides support with academics, communication, behavior, social-emotional development, daily living skills, personal care, and participation in school activities. - The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, flexible, collaborative, and committed to promoting each student’s dignity, safety, independence, and sense of belonging. - Requirements: - * High School Diploma - * Some College preferred
