Job Title - stipend - middle school afterschool intramurals coaches and referees (internal only) (sy22-23) - --- - --- - Job Description - Title: Middle School Afterschool Intramurals Coaches and Referees (Internal) (Only) (Academy Year �22-‘23) - General Duties - General Duties (Continued) - Qualifications - The ideal candidate will be a current teacher in the grades listed above who is passionateabout leading this work. - Salary - Hours - Approximately Tuesday October 11th - Approximately last day of school Optional days for coaches are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (see Google application form) Work hours: Enrichment block 2:45-4:00 (staff paid for 1.5hrs per day to included planning time) Games are mandatory for coaches and on Fridays Games are mandatory for referees and on Fridays Work hours: Enrichment block 2:45-4:15 (staff paid for 2hrs per day to included setup and cleanup support) - To Apply - Apply via Talented. • Each middle school has positions for 3 coaches: 5th and 6th grade boys, 7th and 8th grade boys, and a girls team (we can create an additional girls team if there is sufficient interest)
• We need 3 referees for the game on Friday afternoons
• Coaches: Coach one practice per week during the enrichment block (2:45-4:00) and a game on Fridays for 2 hours per week (to help with game setup and gym cleanup); communicate with school personnel about student progress and concerns; monitor attendance and conduct during practice and games; prepares reports as requested by intramurals supervisor
• Referees: Supports an environment of good sportsmanship and safety during games; communicates with coaches and other school personnel about student behavior or safety concerns; prepares reports as requested by intramurals supervisor
• Coaches: Paid at hourly contractual rate, not to exceed 4hrs per week (unless approved by extended learning coordinator)
