Overview

The State College Area School District is seeking a Long-term Substitute MTSS-Math Interventionist.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:
• A passion for mathematics instruction and a focus on supporting diverse learners.
• Excellent organizational and collaboration skills.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• PA Elementary Certification or ability to obtain an Emergency Permit.

Provide Small-Group and/or Individualized Mathematics Intervention

Use district-approved resources, including SpringMath and Bridges Intervention, to provide targeted support to students.

Use Screening, Diagnostic, and Progress-Monitoring Data

Utilize data to identify student needs, plan instruction, monitor student growth, and adjust intervention as needed.

Implement Interventions with Fidelity

Maintain required student documentation while delivering high-quality interventions.

Collaborate with Educators

Work closely with classroom teachers and other educators to ensure intervention complements Tier 1 mathematics instruction and supports students across instructional settings.

Participate in Building and District Meetings

Attend building and district MTSS Mathematics meetings, as well as collaborative problem-solving sessions, to stay informed about district initiatives and best practices.

Communicate with Teachers and Families

Regularly update teachers and families regarding student progress.
