Intervention Specialist - Cross Categorical, Grades K-5 (Long Term Substitute) for Fairfield Compass Elementary School

Job Description:

Fairfield Compass Elementary School is seeking a qualified intervention specialist to work as a long term substitute for the 2026-2027 school year.
Must hold a valid Ohio teaching certificate or license in Special Education or an appropriate Substitute License.
Will be assigned to work in a cross-categorical manner in Resource Rooms and/or Inclusionary Settings.
Will work closely with other Special Education personnel as well as classroom teachers.
Will be expected to attend IEP, ETR, and other meetings as set by the Principals and/or Special Services.
May work with a team of teachers.
May work with Extended Standards Curriculum where students take the Alternate Assessment.
Must be properly licensed in grade level, subject, and student population.

Requirements:

Applicants that are offered a teaching position shall be required to submit to an FBI/BCI criminal background check.
Failure to satisfactorily pass the criminal background check based upon the discretion of the Board of Education will preclude an individual from employment with the Fairfield City School District.
