Job Title: Long-term Substitute Special Education Teacher - Job Description: This is a long-term substitute opening for a Lead Teacher in the Therapeutic Learning Center (TLC) Program at the John F. Kennedy School. The Kennedy School is a Grade K-4 Elementary School. - Position Details: - Job Summary: The TLC Program provides specialized mental health support for students whose difficulties with emotional regulation interfere with their ability to make meaningful progress toward their educational goals in school. - Key Responsibilities: - Preferred Qualifications:
• Pay: $165/day
• Assignment Duration: Until the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
• Works with a group of professionals, including paraprofessionals, a social worker, a BCBA, and an RBT to provide a therapeutic environment for students,
• Provides access to counseling services, positive behavioral interventions, and support throughout a student's day.
• Must be certified as an Elementary Special Education Teacher with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
