Essential Duties and Responsibilities -
Assist the Principal and Other Professionals
Maintain a safe and orderly, but non-oppressive, environment in the school. Deliver appropriate instructional and tutorial strategies. Build routines and mastery of instructional materials involving ESL, Title, Special Education, Library, Reading, and related areas for all students. Respond appropriately to emergency situations as per standing orders and other policies and procedures. Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by the Superintendent of Schools or Principal. ---- - ---
Qualifications -
Educational Requirements
Must meet educational requirements for "Highly Qualified Paraprofessional," as defined by federal laws and No Child Left Behind. Must meet basic reading, writing, and math competencies.Clearances
Valid Act 34, 114, and Act 151 clearances. Valid tuberculosis test and physical examination with ADA reasonable accommodations stipulated, as appropriate.Citizenship
U.S. citizen or holder of a valid work visa.Additional Information -
