Speech-Language Pathologist (Homebound Medical Instruction)

Position Summary
Tiverton Public Schools is seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language services to students receiving homebound medical instruction. The successful candidate will support students with communication needs through individualized, evidence-based interventions designed to promote progress toward IEP goals and continued access to educational programming.
Essential Responsibilities
• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students receiving homebound instruction.
• Conduct speech and language evaluations and reassessments as required.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with family, educators, related service providers, and medical professionals to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, progress reports, and Medicaid billing documentation as applicable.
• Participate in IEP team meetings and provide recommendations regarding speech-language needs and services.
• Consult with family and educational staff regarding communication strategies and supports.
• Ensure compliance with IDEA, Rhode Island Department of Education regulations, and district procedures.
