Responsibilities
• Develop and implement effective coaching strategies to achieve team success
• Create and maintain a positive team culture that promotes student athlete growth and development
• Recruit, select, and retain qualified players for the basketball program
• Conduct regular practice sessions and game day operations
• Collaborate with school administrators, support staff, and other coaches to promote the overall success of the athletic department
• Maintain accurate records of player performance, game statistics, and team progress
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and bylaws related to interscholastic athletics
• Demonstrate a commitment to fair play, sportsmanship, and respect for opponents, officials, and teammates
• Participate in coaching clinics, workshops, and other professional development opportunities as required
• Maintain open communication with parents, players, and school administrators regarding team progress, player development, and any concerns or issues that may arise
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; [Bachelor's degree preferred]
• Proven coaching experience at the high school level
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, game strategy, and player development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school administrators
• First aid/CPR certification and ability to provide basic first aid as needed
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and move around the gymnasium as needed

Job Summary:
The Head Basketball Coach (Men) will be responsible for the administration and supervision of the high school boys' basketball team. The coach will oversee all aspects of the program, including practice planning, game strategy, player development, and team management.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to move quickly and easily around the gymnasium
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and move around the facility as needed
• Ability to be on the field/ court for extended periods of time in varying weather conditions
