Job Title: Wrestling Assistant Coach (Girls) - --- - Responsibilities: - * Assist with planning, organizing, and conducting regular practice sessions. - * Develop and implement game strategies and tactics. - * Teach fundamental skills, techniques, and sports rules to student-athletes. - * Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and school-sponsored trips. - * Promote discipline, responsibility, and good sportsmanship among players. - * Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations. - * Assist with maintenance of team equipment and uniforms. - * Assist with scheduling and facility use. - * Maintain open communication with parents and guardians. - * Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes on personal development and college opportunities. - * Enforce all school policies and codes of conduct. - * Perform other job-related duties as assigned. - Preferred Qualifications: - * Coaching experience in the assigned or a closely related sport. - * Experience mentoring youth and fostering a positive team culture. - * Familiarity with academic eligibility requirements for student-athletes. - * Knowledge, skills, and abilities to: - + Know the sport's rules, techniques, and safety practices. - + Have strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. - + Be able to collaborate with school staff, parents, and community partners. - + Work evenings, weekends, and during school breaks as needed. - Minimum Qualifications: - * Valid Florida teaching certificate or valid Department of Education athletic coaching certificate. - * Valid FHSAA certification. - * Valid adult and child First Aid/CPR/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. - * Valid Florida driver's license. - Revised: - 03/23/2026 - Adoption: - 10/07/2025
