Lead the development of our Junior Varsity Flag Football team, fostering a positive and competitive environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and player growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement practice plans and game strategies to achieve team goals
• Provide individualized coaching and feedback to players to enhance their skills and performance
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, inclusivity, and fair play
• Collaborate with the varsity coach and other school staff to ensure consistency and alignment with school policies and programs
• Manage team schedules, including games, practices, and travel
• Maintain accurate records of player progress, attendance, and game results
• Communicate effectively with parents, players, and school administrators regarding team news, updates, and concerns
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and school policies governing youth sports

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coaching certification preferred
• Previous experience as a flag football coach or in a related sport preferred
• Ability to work effectively with players of diverse ages, skill levels, and backgrounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• First aid and CPR certification an asset

Working Conditions

• Work will be performed primarily at the high school campus during weekdays and weekends
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds and move around the field as needed
• May require occasional travel to away games or tournaments
