Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in accordance with Connecticut Substitute-Teacher Requirements; Connecticut teaching certification preferred. - -
• Candidates who do not hold a bachelor's degree may be considered only if eligible for an approved state waiver.
• Ability to work effectively with students and staff across grade levels.
• Strong communication, classroom-management, and organizational skills.
• Successful completion of all required background checks and pre-employment requirements.

Job Description

Position: Permanent Building Substitute

General Duties

• Provide classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regularly assigned teacher.
• Follow lesson plans, maintain a safe and productive learning environment, manage student behavior, and comply with all district policies and procedures.

Salary

$130 per day, 5 sick days, 3 personal days
