Job Description: The State College Area School District is currently accepting applications for an Elementary STEM Teacher.

Program Overview:
• The district seeks dynamic educators who are student-focused and have knowledge of both theory and practice specific to the education of STEM learners.
• The Elementary program (K-5) uses the Engineering Design Process to engage students in applying problem-solving strategies and skills to classroom assignments and real-world scenarios.
• Many projects include coding, 3-D printing and design, and robotics.

Requirements:
• Organizational and collaborative skills are critical to success in this position.
• The ideal candidate will possess a growth mindset and a willingness to learn alongside students, as new technologies and tools emerge.
• Cross-curricular collaboration is an important component of this position.

Certification:
• The possession of or the ability to obtain applicable PA certification is required.
