Educational Assistant (Full-Time) - South Elementary

Job Description

One position available for a full-time Educational Assistant to work with students in grades K-5. The successful candidate will assist in the supervision, care, and instruction of students under the direction of the Principal or Designee.

Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring student behavior
- Performing classroom tasks
- Providing information to appropriate school personnel
- Assisting students on an Individual Education Program (IEP)
- Assisting students in the Social Communications or Multiple Disabilities Classroom

Pay & Benefits

Beginning hourly rate: $17.37/hour and up, commensurate with related experience for regular employment. Excellent benefits package including free life insurance, SERS Retirement System, medical, dental, disability, and vision insurance, and sick and personal days.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Apply for and maintain an Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (ODEW) and meet one of the following criteria:
1. Hold an Associate's degree or higher,
2. Have taken forty-eight semester hours of college coursework,
3. Take a Paraprofessional Exam.
