Position Summary

The Director of Finance reports directly to the Superintendent and serves as the chief financial officer for the school district. This position oversees all financial management, accounting operations, budget administration, procurement, and fiscal compliance. The ideal candidate will ensure full alignment with state laws while providing strategic financial support for the district's educational mission and programs.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Oversight & Accounting: Manage all financial affairs of the district; establish and supervise a comprehensive accounting system to record detailed monetary and credit transactions.

Budgeting & Strategic Planning: Lead short- and long-range financial planning, budget development, and the administration of district budget control programs.

Payroll & Auditing: Serve as the district payroll officer and coordinate internal auditing procedures for school accounts.

Procurement & Purchasing: Direct procurement processes, including competitive bidding, informal quotations, and negotiation for essential equipment, supplies, and operational needs.

Asset & Risk Management: Oversee the district's real estate programs and insurance coverage.

District Support: Assist in personnel recruitment/hiring and perform additional job-related duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
