Job Title: CTE Teaching Assistant

Hours per Day: 6.75 hours
Days per Year: 177 days

Requirements/Qualifications:
* Minimum of 60 semester hours of college credits (must provide official transcripts)
* Valid Illinois licensure with stipulations or Illinois teaching certificate or 90-day sub certificate
* Ability to work under the supervision of a classroom teacher
* Concern and care for young children
* Ability to be a "self-starter" and anticipate needs and jobs
* Physical and TB test

Specific Responsibilities:
* Preparation of materials, learning centers, bulletin boards
* Lunchroom and playground supervision
* Direction of quiet time activities
* Learning center and small group supervision
* Helping children with personal needs
* Preparation of snacks
* Story time (read to the children)
* Provide help in disciplinary matters
* Clerical duties and testing
* Perform other duties as assigned
