Job Title: Substitute Cook Assistant
Job Summary: To assist the cook in planning, preparing and serving delicious and nutritious meals to MT. Angel School District students and staff in the most efficient and effective manner.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
* Essential duties of this position include the following.
* Employees in this position must be able to perform with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation.
* Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks:
+ Assist in routine kitchen duties, including dishwashing
+ Assist in the serving of food to students and staff, ensuring supplies of food and beverages are maintained and spills cleaned up
+ Assist in cleaning up, putting food away, storing equipment, washing dishes, scrubbing pots and pans, cleaning food serving areas, sinks, tables, etc.
+ Responsible for following standards of efficiency and sanitation set by the health department and cook manager / food service director
+ Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students and staff
+ Participate in in-service training as assigned
+ Able to fill in for cook in their absence
+ Acts as a friendly ambassador for the MT. Angel School District
+ Perform such other tasks (which may require knowledge of other job descriptions) as may seem appropriate to the board or administration
+ Abides by federal and state laws and school district policies, procedures and rules.
+ Professionally represents the school and the district in interactions with community and staff.
+ Maintains appropriate certifications and training hours as required.
+ Complies with applicable district, state, local and federal laws, rules and regulations.
+ Attends work regularly and is punctual.

Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Experience in meal preparation and serving for large groups preferred
