Job Summary

Teach fundamentals and skills, assist with organizing and running practice sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach rules and regulations
• Display and teach good sportsmanship
• Assist in maintaining, issuing and collecting of all equipment and supplies
• Supervise players at all times

Compliance and Administrative Duties

Comply with all athletic department, school and RI Interscholastic League (RIIL) / Rhode Island Interscholastic Coaches Association (RIPCOA) rules and regulations / RIPCOA. Attend all coaches' meetings, practices and contests as needed.

Program Expectations

• Assist with communicating program expectations to student-athletes and parents
• Monitor each athlete's athletic and academic performance
• Assist with establishing and maintaining consistent standards and behavior

Education and Experience

Knowledge in particular sport based upon experience as a participant and/or coach. Directly responsible to the Athletic Director in liaison with Principal. Must meet RIIL/RIPCOA coaching certification and training requirements.

Demonstrated Ability

Demonstrated ability in recognizing that the growth and development of each student-athlete requires meeting their individual needs.
