Requirements
Experience with secondary school level coaching preferred. Rhode Island Certificate for Athletic Coach (NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses) and current Red Cross certification(s) in CPR and First Aid required, as well as annual recertification for NFHS RI Rules Test and Concussion course.

Job Description
Head Coach - Position available for winter 2025-2026 season, dependent upon funding and sufficient sign-ups.
Responsibilities and Expectations
Coaches of each interscholastic sport at Mt. Hope High School shall be knowledgeable and skilled in the techniques of their sport. The head coach is responsible for promoting, coordinating, and continually improving the interscholastic sport he/she is assigned. Every coach is directly responsible to the Athletic Director for the content, conduct, and coordination of his/her program. Athletics is an intricate part of the overall education process at Mt. Hope High School and each coach is responsible through enthusiasm, ability, and determination to promote and upgrade their interscholastic program taking into account the following areas:
• Administration
• Budget
• Rules and regulations
• Equipment and uniforms
• Team travel
• Scheduling
• Team management
