About the Employer

Job Title: Assistant Band Director
Qualifications:
* Valid Florida Teaching Certificate
* Current employee of the School District of Lee County
* Valid Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (such alternatives as the Board may find acceptable)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Ability to relate to and inspire confidence in students
* Knowledge of and experience with organizing student activities and events
* Interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and managerial skills
* Oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work with and lead diverse groups of people
* Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard computer applications
* Ability to administer first aid/CPR/AED as needed for illness, injury, or life-threatening emergencies per certification training guidelines

Responsibilities:
* Provide student supervision
* Attend and participate in band booster activities as needed
* Perform the duties and responsibilities assigned by the Band Director
* Adhere to district policies and procedures
