Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and implementing practice sessions and game strategies.
• Develop and implement training programs for players to improve their skills.
• Provide individualized attention and coaching to players to help them reach their full potential.
• Help manage team travel and logistics, including arranging transportation and accommodations.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience as an assistant coach or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and game strategy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and develop student-athletes.
• Coaching certification (e.g. NCAA, NFHS).
• Experience working with high school students.
• Familiarity with athletic department policies and procedures.

Taunton High School is seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Basketball Coach for our varsity men's basketball program. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the sport, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and develop student-athletes.
